Starting our 10-night journey in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marks a historic milestone as we explore the ancient wonders of the world. Jeddah, known as the gateway to Mecca, boasts a vibrant mix of history and modernity. Highlights include the UNESCO-listed Historic District with its coral-stone architecture, the stunning King Fahd Fountain, and bustling souks. This city’s rich cultural heritage and stunning waterfront set the perfect stage for an unforgettable adventure through time and tradition.
With a half day in Jeddah, Vacayans can explore its vibrant Corniche, featuring stunning waterfront views and public art. A visit to the historic Al-Balad district offers sights of ancient souks, traditional markets, and coral-stone buildings. If you missed it yesterday, you can also admire the King Fahd Fountain, the tallest in the world, and relax in nearby parks or cafes. Early afternoon, we set sail into the Red Sea toward Yanbu, continuing our extraordinary journey.
Yanbu offers a blend of natural beauty and historic charm. You’ll have a full day here to explore its pristine beaches, enjoy snorkeling and diving in clear waters, or visit the old fishing port and traditional markets. The city’s vibrant seafront promenade is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Before setting sail at 9pm, enjoy an early dinner at one of Yanbu’s seafood restaurants, savoring fresh local dishes. This port town provides a peaceful yet engaging experience before we continue our journey.
As we cross the tranquil Red Sea aboard our stunning super yacht, today is a perfect sea day to unwind. Relax with a luxurious spa treatment or lounge by the pool, soaking up the sun. Enjoy panoramic sea views, indulge in the ship’s delicious cuisine, or simply read a book in the shade. Today starts early, with a three-hour bus ride into the heart of Egypt, but the treasures that await are among the most exquisite of the Ancient World! Luxor is a breathtaking open-air museum, home to some of Egypt’s most breathtaking sites. Explore the magnificent Valley of the Kings, where ancient pharaohs were buried in elaborate tombs. Visit the stunning Karnak Temple, a vast complex of temples, pylons, and sacred lakes. Admire the Colossi of Memnon and the Luxor Temple illuminated by the afternoon sun. This ancient city truly offers an unparalleled window into Egypt’s glorious past.
Sharm El Sheikh offers the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind after yesterday’s incredible sightseeing in Luxor. Known for its stunning Red Sea beaches, clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs, it’s an oasis of tranquility. Lounge about, enjoy a soothing spa treatment, or stroll along the picturesque shoreline. Snorkeling or a leisurely boat ride offer a glimpse of vibrant marine life. It’s a well-deserved break to refresh your mind and body before our adventures continue.
Eilat is a lively and vibrant shoreside town renowned for its stunning Red Sea beaches, bustling marina, and diverse tourist attractions. Here, you can explore the Coral Beach Nature Reserve, famous for colorful coral reefs ideal for snorkeling and diving. The Underwater Marine Park offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich marine life. Timna Park presents breathtaking rock formations, ancient copper mines, and scenic hiking trails. Eilat’s vibrant nightlife features lively bars, restaurants, and clubs, especially lively on Saturday nights, with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The combination of natural beauty and energetic entertainment makes Eilat a perfect spot to unwind into the weekend.
Today, explore the awe-inspiring site of Petra, just outside Aqaba, Jordan. Known as the “Rose City,” Petra’s brilliant rock-cut architecture, ancient tombs, and the iconic Treasury are breathtaking highlights of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through the narrow Siq canyon reveals generations of history and craftsmanship. After our exploration, enjoy a relaxing seaside dinner in Aqaba, soaking in the scenic views of the Red Sea. A perfect blend of history and evening leisure, today promises to be a highlight of our adventure.
Beyond Petra, Aqaba offers a variety of exciting sites to explore. The colorful Aqaba Marine Park showcases vibrant coral reefs perfect for snorkeling and diving adventures. The Aqaba Fort, built in the 16th century, offers a glimpse into the city’s rich history and overlooks the bustling harbor. Nearby Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, will captivate you with its stunning desert landscapes, towering cliffs, and ancient rock carvings.
Our last full day together on this extraordinary journey through the wonders of the Ancient World is a relaxing day at sea aboard Emerald Kaia. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible sights visited and the memories shared. As we lounge by the pool, indulge in fine cuisine, and share tales of adventures, strong bonds have formed among us all. This morning, we say goodbye to the fabulous Kaia crew, as we all transfer to Cairo by motor coach (approximately two hours). In Cairo, you can opt to taxi to the airport (though we imagine very few of you will do so) or begin your further adventures in this incredible city. On your own, marvel at the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, symbols of ancient Egypt’s greatness. Explore the Egyptian Museum’s legendary artifacts, including Tutankhamun’s treasures, or stroll through bustling markets and historic mosques. Cairo’s rich history and vibrant streets promise an unforgettable post-cruise experience. You’ll want at least two full days here to fully explore before heading home or onward.
